And now, a minute with the Word…

In verses 31-33, this is one of the occasions that Jesus prophesies about His death. So often man tries to avoid death at whatever cost. But to think Jesus knew about His death and didn’t avoid it is amazing. It wasn’t just an easy death either. He knew the pain, torture, agony He would have to suffer and that He would be crucified. And yet, He still would go. Certainly His love and mercy are immense. Romans 8:38-39 — “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Let us always remember God’s love and mercy towards us, sinners in need of grace.
