Series: 2025 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the Word…
The psalmist declares deep love for God’s law, meditating on it all day (verse 97). He continues, “Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies” (verse 98), “more understanding than all my teachers” (verse 99), and “more than the aged” (verse 100). “I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep Your word.” (verse 101) Similarly, Paul says in Colossians 3:16, “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom…” The psalmist says in verse 105, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” And in verse 112, “I incline my heart to perform Your statutes forever, to the end.” John 1:14 echoes this, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
