Week 25, Day 4 — A minute with the Word
Series: 2025 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the Word…
“The LORD possessed [wisdom] at the beginning of his work, the first of his acts of old” (Proverbs 8.22), including His “eternal purpose” (Ephesians 3.11), ultimately made known through “the word of the cross” (1 Corinthians 1.18). “In the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through [its own] wisdom,” rather “it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe” (verse 21), “For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men” (verse 25), and “so that no human being might boast in the presence of God” (verse 29). Certainly, “whoever finds [this wisdom] finds life and obtains favor from the LORD, but he who fails to find [this wisdom] injures himself; all who hate [it] love death” (Proverbs 8.35-36).
