Week 23, Day 4 — A minute with the Word
Series: 2025 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the Word…
This psalm begins “May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face to shine upon us, that Your way be known on earth, Your saving power among all nations.” (verses 1-2) Jesus said “go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20) The psalmist calls all nations to praise and rejoice in God (verses 3-5). Similarly, John describes a vision of “every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne” worshiping God. (Revelation 7:9-10) The psalm closes “the earth has yielded its increase… God shall bless us” (verses 6-7) Likewise, the fruit of the Spirit in believers, which Paul described in Galatians 5:22-23, is a result of God’s ongoing blessing.
