And now, a minute with the Word…

Psalm 42.11 ends exactly the same way as Psalm 43.5. Hope in God — do not hope in other men; do not hope in riches or power; do not hope in anything other than God. Why? Throughout time God has proven His faithfulness to His people. Think of all the promises God made through the Old Testament. Those came to pass and can be summarized by the statement in Joshua 21.45:

Joshua 21.45 — “Not one word of all the good promises the Lord had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.” (ESV)

Spend time today dwelling on God’s promises to us, place your hope in Him, and praise Him again.
