And now, a minute with the Word…

Psalm 41.4 — “As for me I said, ‘O Lord, be gracious to me; heal me, for I have sinned against you!” (ESV)

May we never overlook the importance of confessing our sins to God. It is an important aspect of our walk with Him that we must continually do. David made a habit of expressing his acknowledgment of his sin before God. When Jesus was teaching His disciples how to pray, He explained the importance of asking God to forgive us of our sins (Matthew 6.9-15). John told the readers of his first epistle that we can have confidence that God will forgive our sins if we confess them to Him (1 John 1.9). Let’s have a humility about us that drives us to continually come to God and confess our sins to Him. You can be confident they will be remembered no more.
