Week 17, Day 1 — Job 41-42
Series: 2025 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the Word…
When rebuked by the Lord, Job answered, “Behold, I am of small account; what shall I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth. I have spoken once, and I will not answer; twice, but I will proceed no further” (40.4-5), and “I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you; therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes” (42.5-6). As Job had learned regarding the will of the Lord, so must we: “let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore…receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls” (James 1.19-21).
