In 25.4, Bildad asked, “How then can man be in the right before God? How can he who is born of woman be pure?” The answer today? We “are justified by [God’s] grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood” (Romans 3.24-25), so that “we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (5.1), when we are “buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life” (6.4).
