And now, a minute with the Word…

Before we get lost in the “thou shalts” and “thou shalt nots” of Leviticus 26-27, or any other part of the Law, we would do well to remember two recurring themes — blessings if you obey, and curses if you do not. And why are these true? Because “I am the LORD your God” (e.g. 26.1, 2, 13, 44, 45). Truth, responsibilities, benefits, and consequences are not up for debate, because He is the LORD their God and His divine prerogative is immutable.
