And now, a minute with the Word…

Jesus asked His disciples two questions — “Who do men say that I am?” and later, “But who do you say that I am?” (Mark 8.27-29) Ultimately the second question was, and remains, far more important than the first. However Jesus might be accepted or rejected by others, it is our response to Him that will determine our spiritual course and eternal outcome. Is He merely a curiosity, moral teacher, or religious counselor? Or is He the Messiah, Son of God, Savior, and Lord? Jesus said, “whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 10.32-33)
